Just Keep Winning (
Synopsis[]
The students gather at the entrance to the Shinra Forest, about 12km south of the Academy, where Mudano tells them the rules for their game of tag:
- Retrieve a ball from the forest
- Avoid capture by Mudano
- Return to the school within one hour
As there are more students than there are balls, everyone is expected to compete with each other. Those who fail to complete the game are at risk of expulsion. The use of blood is allowed with the exception of Mudano, who will only resort to using his powers in the event that a student goes berserk.
In response to what he perceives as condescension, Jin Kougasaki suggests that the students should kill their teacher, and Mudano welcomes them to try, even telling them that they would immediately graduate and earn a high-ranking position in the Oni Corporation if they did so.
Shiki briefly considers this, as a position in the Corporation would allow him to pursue Samidare Momoya, but he quickly dismisses the idea. Kougasaki shares a similar goal and has no issue targetting Mudano.
Before starting the game, the students are split up into three teams: (1) Homare Byoubugaura, Shiki and Kougasaki; (2) Ikari Yaoroshi and Juji Yusurube; (3) Rokuro Kiriyama and Kuina Sazanami.
On Shiki's team, Byoubugaura timidly approaches Shiki and Jin and apologizes in advance for burdening them. Shiki is friendly and offers to protect her but Kougasaki ignores her, causing her to cry and Shiki to confront him. Again, the two bicker and Kougasaki angers Shiki when he suggests that Shiki's goal at the Academy is pointless.
Mudano announces that the students will have a 15-minute head start and the game begins.
