Jin Kougasaki (
His primary goal is to kill his disowned father and arch-nemesis, Hayate Momoido and avenge his mother Asumi and sister, Hazuki.
Appearance[]
Kougasaki is a disfigured boy with straight blonde hair and slanted eyes. He wears the standard Rasetsu Academy uniform along with a face mask that assists in concealing the many scars that are on the lower half of his jaw as well as dark gloves that assists in concealing the many scars that are on his arms.
These scars were afflicted upon Kougasaki during his childhood by his father, Hayate Momoido and have since then been stitched.
Personality[]
In the past, Kougasaki was once a kind and hopeful person who once look up to his father, Hayate Momoido and would wanna become a Momotaro.
After he was betrayed and nearly killed by Hayate due to him being an Oni, Kougasaki became extremely cold and vengeful when he desires to kill Hayate. He abandoned all of loves and respects for Hayate and developed a complete hatred towards his worthless excuse for a father. He even abandoned his birth surname Momoido and adopted Kougasaki as his surname. Kougasaki no longer sees Hayate as a parent and began calling him by his name instead of addressing him as father.
Kougasaki is a cool and level-headed person, not letting people or situations shake him. He's quick to insult people, especially those who are quicker to anger like Shiki or Yaoroshi. He sees himself as above most of the people around him, which causes most of his annoyance. He's slow to anger, but his explosions can be rather violent. He is more determined of his vengeful desire is to kill his father and avenge his late mother and sister as well he will never stop until Hayate is dead. In Chapter 214, Kougasaki shown a bit confused when he easily defeat a Momotaro Captain who is happened to be very weak.
Despite how cold he is, he has a soft spot for children, especially siblings. Older sisters, especially, remind him of his own older sister. He can also be reckless when he truly believes he's right in something. He's grown to enjoy those around him more than at the beginning.

He's introduced as one of the students in Mudano's class, which the Principal regards as some of the strongest Oni of that generation.
He, Shiki, and Byobugara are teamed up together to win in a game of tag against Mudano.

Powers & Abilities[]
Overall Abilities: Kougasaki proved to be one of the more advanced students in Shin's class, having already learned how to use Blood Eclipse Release, and demonstrated prodigious control due to being able to create and manipulate two kinds of weapons. He is also resilient enough to take blows from Naito Mudano, a former elite of the Combat Unit, which would've left others severely injured or incapacitated. In Chapter 214, he easily defeated a much weaker Momotaro captain.
Blood Eclipse Release (血蝕解放 Kesshoku Kaihō): Like other Oni, Kougasaki is able to control and manipulate his blood through Blood Eclipse Release, creating unique devices based off personal experiences and/or interests.
- Blood of the Seven Sanctions (七つの断罪 Nanatsu no Danzai): Kougasaki uses his nails to open up one or more of the many stitches lining his body to create various kinds of saws like circular saws and chainsaws.
- Dance of the Severing Blood (両断血飛沫ノ舞 Ryōdan Chishibuki no Mai): A ranged attack where Kougasaki launches a chainsaw-shape wave of blood at his opponent.
- Double-Cut Blood Splatter Dance: A ranged attack where Kougasaki launches multiple blood circular saws at his enemy.
- Cleaning Blizzard of Bloodshed: From mid-air, Kougasaki launches several smaller circular saws that are less powerful, but with increased rotation and higher numbers.
- Battle Dissector: Kougasaki forms multiple handsaws on his fingers and slashes an enemy from above, making an X-shaped slash at their chest, heavily wounding them.
- Blood of the Seven Judgements: Kougasaki forms 7 blood chainsaws in his body.

Hayate Momoido[]
Hayate is his disowned father and arch-nemesis who is a Momotarou. When Kougasaki was a child, he looked up to his father, wanting to be a Momotarou himself. One day, while Kougasaki was on his way home, Hayate killed both his mom and sister after learning they were both Oni, and attacks Kougasaki as well, thinking that he killed him. As a result, Kougasaki developed a complete hatred towards Hayate and vowed to kill his father. Jin trained relentlessly to gain more Blood Eclipse Release power, fully capable to achieve his vengeance to kill Hayate. In fact, Jin no longer sees Hayate as his father and began calling him by his name as well referring Hayate as old man rather than addressing him as father due to their family ties was destroyed beyond repair a long time ago. Plus, Jin will never forgive Hayate for killing Asumi and Hazuki as well nearly killed him. Kougasaki will never stop until Hayate is dead. Jin confronted Hayate after a long time. Hayate still remembers Jin despite his disfigure appearance as he tells his son, this is the first time they've seen each other since the day Hayate killed both Jin's beloved mother and older sister. He was right about his father had no remorse or feelings of killing both his mother, Asumi and sister Hazuki. Jin declared to Hayate that he is going to kill him and avenge both Asumi and Hazuki. He removed his mask to get ready to fight Hayate to the death and no longer hiding his identity as their family ties has already been broken completely. However, he lost against his father easily. Before his father leaves due to Naito Mudano's arrival, Jin was told by Hayate to save his words when he is strong enough to fight him again.
Asumi Momoido[]
Asumi was Jin's beloved mother. However, he was devastated after seeing his mother and his sister, Hazuki killed by his father, Hayate. While seeking revenge on his father, Jin mourned Asumi.
Hazuki Momoido[]
Kougasaki and his sister were very close growing up. Both looked up to their dad and praised his job. She was very protective over him and he appreciated that very much. When their father attacked and their mom, she had sent Kougasaki a text to grab something from the store as a way to stall him and hopefully not get attacked. Kougasaki's appreciations for older sisters comes from her attempt to save him as kids. While seeking revenge on his father, Jin mourned Hazuki.
Shiki Ichinose[]
Shiki is Jin's rival. These two don't initially get along, due to Kougaski seeing Shiki as lower than him, especially in terms of intelligence. During their first meet when Shiki demanded Jin to give him a tissue for his nosebleed, Jin replied to Shiki to not talk to him. Shiki insults Jin of "not having horns", but only shown he does have horns and declared only a "dumb rookie" would run around and flaunting their horns. Jin calls Shiki as "nosebleed boy". Shiki's able to get under his skin like no one else, which lessens his respect for him. However, in a fight, the two work well together, being able to take down enemies easily.
After Keagon Falls, when Shiki's shaken up about what had happened, he listens in on his conversation with Mudano and Oiranzaka without being seen, because he's curious about what he's thinking. During the Koenji Arc, he confides in Shiki about his belief of Yusurube being the traitor, and even though Shiki doesn't believe him, he still attempts to protect him as well as he can.
They do share a common goal which is revenge on the Momotaro for the murder upon on their family. After his ease defeat by Hayate, Shiki came just in time for Jin. He took over his rival's place to fight Hayate to fulfill Kougasaki's vengeance upon Momoido.
Naito Mudano[]
In their first meeting, Mudano manages to scare him by getting behind Kougasaki without him noticing. During their game of tag, Kougasaki attempts to kill him so he can graduate early but fails at this. Throughout the series, Kougasaki both respects Mudano, but continues to do reckless things without his permission. In some way, however, Mudano seems to both respect and trust Kougasaki, even telling him to keep an eye on Yusurube when Kougasaki suggests he might be the traitor. After failed to kill his father in their first battle, Jin admitted to Mudano that he is still far too weak for his vengeance.
Etymology[]
- His given name Jin means "swift, fast" (迅 jin).
- His surname Kougasaki means "creator, monarch, sovereign" (皇 kou), "queen, empress" (ga) and "peninsula, promontory" (崎 saki ).
- His former surname Momoido means "peach" (桃 momo), "shaft, well" (井 i) and "door" (戸 do).
